HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Help bring joy, peace, and a sense of belonging to women, gender diverse people, and their families by donating to the Home for the Holidays campaign today.

Your support, and the brightness it brings to the lives of those we serve are needed more than ever during the holiday season. For those living in poverty, escaping violence or experiencing trauma and instability, the holidays can be the loneliest and most insecure time of the year.

Your generous support of our Home for the Holidays program allows shelter and housing residents to not only survive the holidays but to enjoy them and create special memories for themselves and their family.

Each gift helps create a sense of home for those accessing YWCA Toronto’s emergency shelters and housing programs. Your donation enables festive programming, safe family gatherings and a suite of supportive services during this often challenging time, and throughout the year.

Bring a sense of home
this holiday season.

“I can’t imagine what the holidays would have been like without your generous donation. Thank you for making it a special time for me and my family.”
The Johnston Family

Here are some examples of the impact your gift will have*:

$50 can provide children with a welcome package to help them feel more at home. A small gesture that says: “You’re safe now.”

$100 helps bring the holiday spirit to life with decorations and toys for the children living in our shelters - a reminder that joy matters during these difficult times.

$250 can provide warm winter gear for a family who arrives to the shelter without adequate protection against the cold.

$500 supports a new parent or caregiver with essential baby products such as a baby carrier, safe sleep space, diapers, wipes, formula, and more.

$750 can provide a culturally diverse holiday meal and celebration for residents in the shelter.

$1,000 supports the delivery of essential mental health services so a survivor can heal from trauma and rebuild their life.
