Life Skills Training Partnerships

YWCA Toronto is open to develop training partnerships with training institutes, colleges, universities and community-based agencies nationally and internationally who are interested in hosting Life Skills Coach training sessions at their locations.

Life Skills training partnerships seek to:

  • provide training opportunities to remote or underserved communities
  • increase the number of locations where YWCA Toronto Life Skills Coach training sessions are delivered
  • expand the roster of YWCA Toronto trained and licenced Life Skills Coach trainers
  • share costs and growth opportunities derived from Life Skills Coach training
  • maximize outreach and marketing resources to support the growth of the Life Skills Coaching

What options do we offer?

Option 1 – Risk Free
Hosting the Training

In exchange for hosting the training, your organization is offered two free seats in each training session run at your location.

Save $ 1950 CAD in staff training costs

Responsibilities for the host:

  • Prepare the training room & arrange refreshments for participants
  • Be of assistance to problem solve issues related to the location
  • Provide access to photocopy and computer or wireless connection
  • Help promote training in the community

Responsibilities for the YWCA Toronto:

  • Produce and ship training materials and supplies
  • Cover costs and arrange travel, lodging and meals for trainer
  • Manage marketing, customer service, registrations and refunds
  • Coordinate logistics for the participants, trainer and host organization

Option 2 – A Revenue Sharing Agreement
Hosting and Delivering the Training

A host organization and YWCA Toronto can invest in a staff member to become a Life Skills Coach trainer and enter into a revenue sharing partnership with YWCA Toronto.

Retain 40% of the revenue ($5850 CAD approx) from all training sessions run at your location (amount calculated based on a group of 15 participants)

Responsibilities for the host:

  • Prepare training room and arrangement for some refreshments for participants
  • Share registration responsibilities with YWCA Toronto
  • Deliver the training with a staff member trained as Coach Trainer by YWCA Toronto.
  • Help promote training in the community.

Responsibilities for the YWCA Toronto:

  • Select, mentor, and couch the host organization staff member
  • Maintain training delivery standards and support host organization staff member professional development as Life Skills Coach Trainer
  • Produce, issue and ship all training material
  • Issue Certificates, maintain clients’ databases and lead the marketing and growth of the international Life Skills Coaching community.

Hosting the training is no hardship on staff. YWCA Toronto is good at getting all the prep work done and it’s great to be able to offer the training to the community.
