YWCA Toronto knows that safety, stability, and opportunity are deeply interconnected. Housing without support is fragile. Escaping violence without a safe place to go is impossible. Healing from trauma without community care is overwhelming.

Your gifts this Giving Tuesday will be matched up to $25,000, thanks to a matching gift from our wonderful friends at The Winged Achene Foundation. Your generous gift will support YWCA Toronto’s vital continuum of care, allowing us to strengthen our affordable housing programs, respond to the needs of survivors of gender-based violence, expand our mental health services, and ignite new advocacy and programming. Together, we can change the lives of women, girls and gender diverse people. 

With our matching gift, your donation will go twice as far, helping us provide a powerful array of interconnected services for thousands of women, girls, and gender diverse people – now and long into the future.

  • Dedicated Emergency Shelters: provide secure spaces for women, gender diverse people and their children after they leave a violent situation.
  • Employment Programs: help people improve their skills or learn new ones, build confidence and gain meaningful employment.
  • Affordable Housing: reduce the number of women, gender diverse people and their families experiencing homelessness by funding safe, affordable housing.
  • Mental Health Support: fund critical mental health services that help survivors recover from the trauma of violence and homelessness.
