Terrazzo, Tile & Marble Setter


YWCA Toronto has partnered with the Terrazzo, Tile and Marble Training School (TTMTS), and the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development to bring you a unique, women-only pre-apprenticeship training program to become a commercial Terrazzo, Tile and Marble setter.

• Certified instructors
• Transportation supports
• Safety equipment
• Refresher math
• Basic work tools
• Text books
• Women-only learning environment

• Women, 16 years and older
• Minimum grade 10 education
• Resident of and able to work in Ontario
• Willing and able to commit to a 19-week, intensive training program
• Possess or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license
• Physically able to work in a variety of construction work environments and on their feet and knees for a considerable length of time
• Possess appropriate hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and ability to identify and follow design patterns

There are 3 available dates for the Terrazzo, Tile and Marble Setter Pre-Apprenticeship Program. The program will be offered on:
1/ August 4, 2020 – October 2, 2020
2/ October 12, 2020 – December 11, 2020
3/ January 4, 2021 – March 5, 2021
