How to Respond to Cyberhate

According to a public survey conducted by Angus Reid Institute in 2017, women and gender diverse people, particularly those living at multiple intersections of oppression, face increased risks of being targeted by online hate.

Participants are invited to attend this webinar, where they will learn about:
• Recognizing and understanding hate speech and extremism;
• Understanding counter-speech and counter-narratives;
• How to respond individually and collectively engage in counter speech online; and,
• Building skills and resources to address hate speech online effectively.

This webinar is offered in collaboration with The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW).
