Celebrating the difference philanthropy makes

On December 11, YWCA Toronto welcomed new Turning Point Partners and also acknowledged members who have maintained their support since the launch of the program three years ago.

YWCA Transitional Housing Support Worker, Heather Quirt gave a glimpse of her typical work day - from helping women complete Child Tax Benefit forms and providing TTC tokens; to providing referrals to community resources and lending a sympathetic ear. YWCA staff work directly with women to help them set goals and plan for the future.

Following the reception, guests enjoyed the poignant and hilarious play, Age of Arousal, produced by Nightwood Theatre and talk-back session with playwright Linda Griffiths.

Special thanks to XEXE Gallery, Nightwood Theatre, and Barone and Tong Catering for helping make this event a great success.
