your privacy and YWCA Toronto

YWCA Toronto respects your privacy and adheres to all legislative requirements with respect to protecting privacy. Personal information collected by YWCA Toronto from donors, members and other supporters is used to process and receipt donations, to help us better understand our supporters, keep them informed about YWCA Toronto program developments and activities, and to ask for their support of our mission to improve the lives of women and girls.

We also acknowledge the support of donors in publications such as the Turning Points newsletter and our Annual Report. We do not sell or rent our donor lists but on occasion, YWCA Toronto may allow like-minded organizations to write to our supporters. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, or prefer not to be recognized in YWCA publications as a supporter, please let us know by calling 416.961.8100 ext. 352.

We protect your personal information through staff and volunteer training about privacy issues, the signing of confidentiality agreements by those who access personal information in order to perform their duties, the use of locked files, a secure computer system and the shredding of discarded personal information.
