ways to give

Since 1873, philanthropy has shaped YWCA Toronto and enhanced our donate now!
ability to improve the lives of womenand girls. Your donation will ensure that YWCA Toronto continues to be there when women and girls need us most.

Please join us in our mission to improve the lives of women and girls by making an online donation today!

Explore the many ways you can help YWCA Toronto provide essential services to women and girls, by using the menu on your right.

To make a donation by phone, please call the Philanthropy Department at 416.961.8100 extension 352. All donations of $10 or more will automatically receive a tax receipt. Our annual report with audited financial statements is available upon request.

Last year, more than 35,000 people found their Turning Point at YWCA Toronto and Turning Point Partners know their commitment makes this possible. Turning Point Partners is a community of engaged philanthropists who make a minimum annual gift of $1,000 and enjoy a range of benefits. Learn more about Turning Point Partners here.

Fresh Start Monthly Giving Plan is an easy way to support YWCA Toronto throughout the year. Your gifts are automatically withdrawn from your chequing account or charged to your credit card on the 15th of each month. Monthly giving is simple, cost-effective and respectful of your time and privacy. Set up your monthly gift online or call 416-961-8100 x 352.

A Tribute Gift is a wonderful way to honour someone – a birthday, death, wedding, anniversary, holiday or any other special occasion. When making an in honour or in memory gift, please provide the name and address of the person being honoured, or the name of the deceased and the name and address of the person you would like to be notified of your generosity. Personalized messages for the card are optional. Make your Tribute gift online or call 416-961-8100 x 352.

Membership in YWCA Toronto means that for a nominal membership fee of $10 per year you will be associated with one of the oldest women’s associations in Canada, by, for and about women and girls with local, national and international linkages. Membership also entitles you to attend and vote at the Annual Members’ Meeting, elect the Board of Directors, and receive various publications. Join and be an advocate for pressing social issues affecting women and girls. Purchase your membership online or call 416-961-8100 x 352.

Make your values your legacy and transform the lives of women and girls. Include YWCA Toronto in your Will and create change in your community in a simple and tax effective way. Learn more here.

YWCA Toronto gratefully accepts new and kindly used items for the women and girls that participate in our programs. Some of the most needed items include: new winter coats, new socks, new pajamas/night gowns, new towels and facecloths, new sheets, pillows and blankets, new winter boots, hygiene products, new underwear, dishes, flat wear and kitchen items, TTC tokens and long-distance calling cards. Please contact Dela Aziavor for further information at 416-961-8100 x 332 or email daziavor [at] ywcatoronto [dot] org.

YWCA Toronto invites you to celebrate the 28th Annual Women of Distinction Awards at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.  This prestigious annual fundraiser provides your company opportunities for high profile and value added recognition. Learn how you can sponsor this important event.

Help YWCA Toronto raise funds by donating your used cell phones and laser or inkjet cartridges for recycling. Every used cell phone and battery (no accessories please) and cartridge donated earns us money! Students – learn how to gain valuable Community Service hours. E-mail us for more information or questions.

YWCA Toronto has partnered with HBC Rewards. Donate your HBC reward points to the YWCA Toronto. Click here and follow the steps to Donate to a Community Group. We will be using the points accumulated in the account to purchase items for the Adopt A Family program and other YWCA activities.

Learn about upcoming YWCA Toronto's special events and how you and your friends and family can work on a fun project that will make a difference in the lives of women and girls in Toronto!

We gratefully welcome caring individuals who want to contribute their time and talents to make a difference in the lives of women and girls. Learn more about volunteering here.

YWCA Toronto Adopt a Family Program matches women and women–led families in need with generous community members who provide new toys, clothing and gift cards during the winter holidays. Find out more about Adopt a Family here.
