Located on a quiet residential street in Rosedale, YWCA 1st Stop Woodlawn is a unique residential community. It includes 72 private rental rooms for long-term accommodation, a shelter for women and transitional housing for women who require additional support.
What does this program offer?
A place to live:

- 24-hour security, closed circuit cameras
- complimentary breakfast

- refrigerated food lockers available for rent
- coin operated laundry
- sunny main floor common room
- resource library with computers and books
- cafeteria, vending machines
- recreational activities and trips
- shared telephones for incoming calls on each floor, one for outgoing calls
- restriction on overnight guests
- women born in Canada, immigrant women, women with addictions and mental health issues, women of colour, lesbians and transgendered women make up this diverse and vibrant community

Rental information
- rent starts at $516 monthly for a regular single room (9x12) (heat and hydro included)
- 22 rooms are rent geared to income (the amount of rent paid is determined by income)
- dinner available for $10 for 5 dinners per week
- tenants are responsible for their own TV, internet and cable
- tenants are required to sign a lease of at least 1 month
- 30 day minimum move-out notice
