YWCA family support centre

Find comfort in knowing that other moms and caregivers have the same experiences and concerns you do. The YWCA Family Support Centre provides a nurturing family environment for your own thriving family.

We are a place where all families are valued, and girls and young women get opportunities to flourish. We strengthen relationships between caregivers and children, and between families and their communities.

The Family Support Centre offers various programs for you and your children that provide support, guidance and information as you grow together. Share your feelings and learn from other moms through our interactive support programs and discussion groups. Your children can engage in healthy interactions with other children in the same nurturing environment. You will gain insight into ways of educating your children through play, songs and stories; nurturing the various stages of your child’s development; and managing your child’s challenging behaviours.

Visit the Resource Room and meet with a program worker to discuss parenting issues, or read books and magazines and watch videos in our comfortable sitting room Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm.
