YWCA SOAR is a free and unique program for women to get help to find
and keep the job they desire. We invite all unemployed women who are looking
for work and who are legally entitled

her to develop a
realistic career plan.
Women will:
- PARTICIPATE in SOAR workshops best suited to their
needs, based on their skills, interests and the career path they would
like to follow and excel in.
- DISCOVER their personal traits, preferences, aptitude,
strength and weaknesses using a variety of career assessment tools.
- ESTABLISH an action plan with attainable employment
goals and milestones.
- UTILIZE the SOAR Job Search Café, where
we will offer them networking opportunities, motivational activities
and job leads.
- RECEIVE professional support from Vocational Intake
and Assessment Counsellors and Job Developers during the program and
following its completion
Women will gain:

ability to make informed decisions
