tapawingo location

go to summer camp photo galleryCamp Tapawingo is located on the protected shores of Georgian Bay, just four miles from the town of Parry Sound. The camp has 175 acres of woodland with well-marked trails for hiking.

There are 16 well-spaced cabins near centralized showers and toilet facilities. Our dining room has a cozy stone fireplace and adjoining kitchen where the cook and her staff make great-tasting, nutritious food... and plenty of it. Tapawingo’s recreation hall features a stage and a costume room.

  • The Scott Learning Centre, home of Owl’s Nest, provides additional indoor space and meeting rooms for training events.
  • White Cottage is our craft shop with two large interior craft rooms and a screened-in porch for the woodworking program.
  • Windy Ledge is home to the Mountain Biking Program
  • Our climbing wall, canoeing bay, playing field, volleyball area, campfire sites, Boyne River, low ropes course–mean that facilities are available for every type of program possible.

The camp is on the border of Massassauga Provincial Park.

The health centre provides clinic space with a doctor on call at Parry Sound Hospital.
