Liz Greenway has been the Manager of Camping Services for the YWCA of Greater Toronto since 1979. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical education, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreology and a Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education. Liz has served as the President of the Ontario Camping Association as well as on the Canadian Camping Association executive. assistant director
Jo Dwhytie has been the Assistant Director at Tapawingo since 1981. Jo has been a camper, counsellor, and held many senior staff positions at Tapawingo and is an active member of the OCA. staffOur staff remembers what it means to be a young girl. They are fun, caring young women with a genuine interest in our campers. The counsellors are selected for leadership abilities, responsibility and dedication to the development of each camper. Qualified specialists are hired to supervise each activity. All our staff is female and meets the Ontario Camping Association standards. Each staff member attends a comprehensive pre-camp training. leadership trainingEvery summer, a group of exceptional 16-year-olds enrol in our counsellor-in-training program. This six-week program focuses on group work, teaching and leadership skills essential to working with young people.
