  • Act Up, Act Out!
    Facilitated by: In forma Theatre
This is an introduction to using theatre techniques to express your reality. This handson workshop will use theatre games and exercises to explore youth violence, how people get treated differently for who they are and where they are from, and what it means to be a boy or a girl. This will all be identified by you. Explore the issues that are affecting you. No theatre experience required!
  • Beyond Bitches and Beats
Facilitated by: The Miss G Project
Popular culture today bombards us with images of women as sex objects, derogatory lyrics about lesbians and gay men, movies that make heroes out of gangstas and perpetrators of violence. Join the Miss G Project for a discussion on how this makes us think about what a girl is, what a boy is, and what standards are for each.
  • Design for Impact
    Facilitated by Violence Intervention Project
Learn how to create an effective poster design using clear messages and images, to tell a story, inform and influence. Whether it is promoting healthy dating relationships, reducing violence, or defining sexual harassment, students are encouraged to design a poster that can be used in schools and in the community.
